Students who enroll in the faculty/school/vocational school for the first time can apply within three weeks from the date of the start of education to the relevant unit with a petition, approved transcript and approved course contents, including the courses they want to be exempted for the courses they have taken and succeeded in the higher education institutions previously studied.
After the Unit Administrative Board approves the exemption request and the exempted courses are entered into the system, you will be registered for the courses you will take with your advisor. If the process of taking the exemption decision extends beyond the add/drop period specified in the academic calendar, the course registration process is carried out by the Student Affairs staff. However, in order not to experience any problems during this period, it is important that you attend the semester courses.
For each student who enrolls in the programs affiliated to our university and applies for exemption, an exemption schedule is prepared by the exemption and adjustment commission of the relevant units and notified to the student with the decision of the board of directors.
Students coming by lateral transfer are admitted to the semester they apply; students who come by internal transfer are admitted to the fifth semester; students who come by central placement exams are admitted to the first semester.
You can appeal to the relevant unit with a petition within one week at the latest from the date the exemption process is finalized and notified to you.
In order to be exempted from a course, its grade must be at least CC and above. However, exemption can also be requested from lower grades, provided that you have passed such courses with a conditional pass.
